Cirquet is a constructed script specimen created by using a set of rules and a grid system. This font is based off the ideals of the famous dutch typographer Jurriaan Schrofer and his geometric approach to typography. This typeface was created by using a 4 by 4 grid, circles, and rounded rectangles. This was created with the intention of readability being second and design being at the forefront. While some letters are forced to break rules to stick to the origin of the latin script design, it is rare you can find it.

Cirquet

A grid based typeface created using Glyphs

Circles must be in a vertical format while rounded rectangles have to lie at a horizontal space either within the grid or at a 1.5 grid spot. Below you will find the entire alphabet, as well as numbers 1-9. Two different variations of the typeface are available below as well as a poster containing only Cirquet’s letters. The posters that lie below it contain text that might surprise you, can you guess what it says?
